On January 24, 2023, the Broward County Administrator approved the New MPO Evaluation and Ranking (E&R) Process for the 2023 open application period (Cycle 4). This document contains guidance on submitting New MCP applications, the scoring distribution system used to rank projects, and an overview of the evaluation, ranking, and recommendation process.
After evaluating and ranking 52 New MCP applications submitted during the 2023 open application period, the MPO identified the highest-ranked New MCPs within the estimated FY2028 MAG of $29,038,400. Per the requirements of the Second Amendment, the MPO recommended the nine (9) highest-ranked projects totaling $24,543,779 before the next highest-ranked project exceeded the available MAG. Please direct all questions regarding how Broward County uses the recommendations to build the Five-Year Plan to the MAP Administrator.
